Premium PLUS Health Assessment

Premium PLUS Health Assessment

Our most thorough and popular assessment

The PREMIUM PLUS aims at protecting the health and productivity of individuals with busy professional and personal lives. Executives who put their health on the back burner while focusing on their career may be overlooking key health risk factors that could affect their long term career goals.

The assessment is 2 hours in length and is comprised of consultations with both the Doctor and Exercise Physiologist. This is the ultimate approach in preventative medicine with goals of long term good health and wellness and includes:

Ankle Brachial Index testing

The ankle brachial index allows us to look for evidence of plaque build-up in the arteries by calculating your lower limb and upper limb blood pressure. This is a risk factor used when calculating your future heart attack risk.

Lung function testing

Spirometry testing is important in assessing lung function and assists in enabling us to identify early signs of respiratory conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Hearing test

Comprehensive testing of your hearing is vital as you age.

Coronary risk and heart evaluation

This includes conducting a resting ECG and stress test (treadmill) as well as analysing your cholesterol and blood glucose levels, body mass index (BMI), waist/hip ratio, blood pressure, resting heart rate, fitness level and family history.

Exercise physiology review

This is conducted by an expert exercise physiologist and includes full body measurements, a strength and mobility assessment, exercise prescription for weight loss, increased fitness or injury management as well as a nutrition evaluation and some lifestyle recommendations.

Medical examination

This medical and lifestyle evaluation includes an examination of your eyes, ears, mouth, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, abdominal system, genitourinary system, and a skin cancer check, bowel cancer screening kit, prostate check, breast check, and urine analysis.

Comprehensive stress testing

Comprehensive stress testing is conducted to assess your stress, an important contributing factor to your physical health outcomes, particularly your risk of heart attack and stroke.

V-Scan is an optional extra

The V-Scan ultrasound enables us to look directly at your internal organs – heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder, prostate, uterus – and identify warning signs before symptoms or disease develop. That’s the power of prevention.

Complete ongoing medical management

You will receive a comprehensive health and lifestyle report which will include the results from your assessment, as well as detailed recommendations from both the Doctor and Exercise Physiologist.

You are offered ongoing care in the form of follow-up appointments, referral letters to specialists, and prescriptions.
