Whilst successfully training to be an expert diagnostician, John has always found it tragic that people are diagnosed with a terminal illness that could have been entirely prevented or even cured if diagnosed at an earlier stage. Before joining Executive Medicine Jamie had a myriad of sales first leadership roles, spending 30 years in business development and management after leaving the Royal Australian Army where he was a very proud tank driver.
Jamie joined the Executive Medicine team in a customer and business capacity with the onset of the Pandemic.
“I like supporting Executive leaders the most because of the sheer volume of impact we can have. When we help leaders be at work without undue health constraints it impacts a lot of people’s lives; staff having leadership confidence provides a huge bonus to psychological safety. Simple practical health improvements tend to trickle down and be catching, and the unexpected absence of a leader can be economically crippling to a business.
Most of our clients are extremely time poor so it can be a huge effort just to get them in to the practice, they often need their ear twisted. It’s always worth the effort when we get the emails saying ‘thanks, I was weeks away from a heart attack’.”
Jamie enjoys; fiction writing, reading literature, board games, footy, camping, Barre, cooking, meditative awareness, good wine, technology and above all, making friends and listening to their journey. He also paints his own comic books.
